Crazy Night

Everyone at Sterling Court was getting ready for the big party on the roof. Geneva, Kim, Peyton, Spencer and Abby all gathered at Geneva and Kim's apartment to get ready. Peyton had just finished telling Kim all of what Reed has said to her, Josh and Landon after she left that morning to go shopping with Geneva.

Kim: That bastard.

Spencer: Language!

Geneva: Spencer, if profanity is what bothers you the most right now, I suggest you leave because we're about to lay in to the possessive scumbag AKA Reed in about 3 seconds.

Spencer: Continue on.

Abby: I say we all jump him in the parking lot!

Peyton: (Gets up) Hell yeah!

Kim: Stop! I'll deal with this my own way.

Geneva: (Puts her arm around Kim) Kim, sweetie, I'm going to be perfectly blunt with you right now, you are not good in these types of situations.

Kim: No, Geneva I have to face him. I was waiting for a sign and now I think I got it.

Spencer: A sign?

Kim: That I was doing the right thing by getting back together with Reed.

Geneva: If this is a sign, it couldn't be any plainer than Barbra Streisand's nose.

Peyton: Kim, you are attractive, smart and sweet, you're going to find someone way better than Reed.

Spencer: I know how you feel, Kim. I've grown up in politics and that's all that was around me, lies. My first impression of Reed when I first met him was that he'd make a great politician.

Kim: Spencer, you're totally right. All of you are right. I'm just going to have to cut him lose.

Geneva: Okay, come on Kim, lets show them the dresses we bought today!

Kim: Oooh! Me and Geneva had to flip a coin to see who'd get the dress I bought!

Meanwhile, at Ethan's apartment, Reed and Ethan sit and sip brandy.

Reed: I think you were right about Landon. I think I might have underestimated him.

Ethan: Never underestimate your opponent.

Reed: I didn't think he was my opponent until this morning!

Ethan: There are multiple things we can do to eradicate the situation.

Reed: Not yet. Kim hasn't fallen for his act yet. Lets wait.

Ethan: If that's what you want.

Reed: It is. Maybe we could get to him a little...

Ethan: In what way?

Reed: I have a couple of ideas...

Later on that night, the roof party was underway.

Peyton, Abby and Spencer are in the middle of the dance floor dancing with a bunch of people.

Abby: (Dancing) DAYUM! This party is hot!

Spencer: (Dancing next to her) You're right, I am a little sweaty.

Peyton: Spencer, she means the party is awesome.

Spencer: For goodness sake! I can't understand slang now days.

Peyton: (Rolls her eyes) You never have Spence.

Zach and Josh get to the middle with the girls and start dancing with them.

Peyton: Hey baby, you drunk yet?

Josh: (Laughs) Getting there!

Peyton: (kisses him)

Abby: (pulls Zach towards her and they dance dirty)

Zach: You've learned some new moves.

Abby: Hell yeah I have, boy. You better catch up.

Spencer: (Rolls her eyes and gets off the dance floor)

Kim and Geneva enter the party, fashionably late

Kim: (Spots Reed) He's over there.

Geneva: Okay, remember, stay strong and give it to him!

Kim: I've got this.

Geneva walks away from Kim and Reed approaches with two drinks.

Reed: (Hands Kim a drink) Hey, I've been waiting for you.

Kim: (Takes the drink and throws it in his face) You listen to me Reed! you don't own me, and you don't tell people not to talk to me! Especially my friends! (Turns to walk away)

Reed: (Grabs her arm) Wait a minute! What the hell are you talking about?

Kim: Peyton told me the way you talked to her, Josh and especially Landon!

Reed: He was moving in on you.

Kim: My god Reed! He is one of my best friends! We've known each other pretty much all our lives. You're going to have to deal with that!

Reed: Kim...

Kim: (Cuts him off) Look, I don't want to talk about this anymore tonight! I'm here to party and that's what I'm going to do.

Kim walks away toward the bar where Geneva is waiting with two martinis. She walks up to Geneva and takes one of them.

Kim: Thanks

Geneva: You really gave him hell.

Kim: Yes, yes I did, I am proud of myself!

Geneva: (Holds up her glass) Cheers!

They laugh and clink their glasses.

A furious Reed quickly finds Ethan at the party and pulls him aside

Ethan: What is it?

Reed: It's time we teach our buddy Landon a lesson.

Ethan: What are you thinking about doing?

Reed and Ethan step aside and discuss things privately.

Meanwhile Chase and Cassandra arrive at the party. The two had just moved in to Sterling Court.

Chase: Look Cassandra, I don't want you getting too wild tonight, okay.

Cassandra: Fine, just keep your distance from me, last thing I need is my big brother following me around.

Chase: Alright, just check in with me.

Cassandra: (Walks away) Yeah right.

Landon and Josh see Chase and walk up to him

Landon: Chase! Dude! Whats up?

Josh: Hey man! How do you like the place?

Chase: It's an awesome apartment building.

Geneva and Kim walk by and Landon grabs them

Landon: Hey you two I want you to meet a friend of ours.

Geneva walks over with Kim, but doesn't look up because she's adjusting her pantyhose.

Josh: This is Chase DeLozier, he's on our baseball team.

Kim: (puts her hand out) Chase it's wonderful to meet you.

Chase: (Shakes her hand and smiles) Nice to meet you Kim.

Geneva: (Finishes adjusting her hoes and looks up and smiles warmly) I'm sorry I was just trying to fix a run in my hoes... (Stops and looks at Chase) You! What the hell are you doing here!

Chase: Nice to see you too, Mercedes.

Landon: Uhhh... do you two know each other? Because dude, her name isn't Mercedes.

Geneva: No Landon, we don't know each other, and I'd prefer to keep it that way.

Kim: Geneva! What's wrong?

Geneva: This is the bastard who insulted me the other day.

Chase: Yes I am, and you're even more charming now then you were in the parking lot.

Geneva: As are you, except you look even more nauseating at night.

Chase: Why thank you my dear, you look better without that wrecked Mercedes in front of you.

Josh: Okay you two, wow. Can we just let it go?

Kim: Yeah, I mean, it was just an accident that got carried away.

Chase: Both of you are right. (Puts his hand out) Truce?

Geneva: (Looks down at his hand) I have an idea, why don't you take that hand and do what you do best with it, because I highly doubt that any woman has ever shared a bed with you. (walks off)

Landon: Dude! You really pissed her off!

Josh: Yup, Chase, I'd stay far away from her until she cools down.

Chase: (Looks after her as she walks away) Yeah... maybe. (He smirks)

Meanwhile Spencer is sitting at a table across the party watching everyone dance. Ethan swoops in and sits beside her.

Ethan: Having fun?

Spencer: Not particularly, these kinds of parties aren't really my style.

Ethan: No, you're right, it's a bit rowdy isn't it?

Spencer: To say the least.

Ethan: How about I get us a drink?

Spencer: Make sure it doesn't have alcohol in it.

Ethan: Of course.

Ethan gets two cups of punch. He opens a small bile a pours something into Spencer's drink

Ethan: (Hands her the drugged drink) Here you are.

Spencer: Thank you.

Ethan: I'm going to go mingle a bit.

Spencer: (Smiles) Have fun.

Spencer drinks her punch... all of it.

Meanwhile, at the bar Reed doing shots. Cassandra walks up and sits next to him.

Cassandra: Hi there.

Reed: (Notices how attractive she is) Can I order you a drink?

Cassandra: (Eyes him up and down.) It's a little noisy in here... maybe we could go somewhere a little more private.

Reed: (Looks around and makes sure Kim isn't looking) Sure, lets go.

Reed and Cassandra leave the party together.

Average Morning

Every one at Sterling Court was getting ready for the big roof party, a party thrown every year to get to know new residents of Sterling Court. While may be the 'official' reason, it's really just a way for people to get together and get drunk and party.

At Josh and Landon's apartment, Zach and Geneva sit at the kitchen table eating cereal waiting for Josh and Landon to get back.

Geneva: So what do you call these things?

Zach: They are called, Froot Loops. I can't believe you've never had them!

Geneva: Me neither, they're wonderful! So, you're saying that they sell these at grocery stores?

Zach: (Laughs) Geneva, you do realize that you're actually going to have to go shopping at other places other than malls and boutiques right?

Geneva: What do you mean?

Zach: Well, you're going to have to start going to places like grocery stores to get food now that you're on your own. You and Kim are both going to have to.

Geneva: Yeah, okay, I always see them, there's just never been a reason for either me and Kim to go into one.

Zach: I can't believe that you are both 18 years old and neither of you have been into a grocery store.

Geneva: Well, excuse me for not being all... I can't talk right now, this stuff is just too good! (Pours more Froot Loops into her bowl)

Kim walks in

Kim: Hey, there you are, what are you doing here?

Geneva: (Gets up with the bowl) Here taste this! (Stuffs a spoon full of Froot Loops in Kim's mouth)

Kim: Oh my god! What is that?

Geneva: They're called Froot Loops! Are they delectable!

Kim: (Takes the bowl) Mmmhmm!

Zach: My god, this is worse than watching that Paris and Nicole show!

Geneva: (Throws a Froot Loop at Zach.) Shut up Zach!

Kim and Geneva sit down at the table as Landon and Josh walk in carrying kegs

Landon: Beer delivery!

Josh: Budweiser express coming through!

Geneva: (Rolls her eyes and turns back to her cereal)

Landon sits down at the table

Landon: So what are y'all doing here?

Geneva: (Chewing) Shhh! I'm eating!

Landon: What?

Zach: Dude, it's the first time they've ever eaten cereal.

Josh: Why am I not surprised.

Kim: (Turns to Josh and points at him with her plastic cereal spoon.) Let those without plastic silverware as their main utensil cast the first insult.

Josh: Ouch! Hitting me where it hurts most! My home decor! Ouch!(Laughs)

Geneva: Really Kim, what do you expect from guys who use milk crates as nightstands?

Landon: Well excuse me, some of us don't have an unlimited amount of money at our disposal.

Josh: Plus, those milk crates kick ass!

Landon: Yeah they do!

Abby enters

Abby: So y'all ready for the party tonight?

Zach: You know it!

Abby: By the way, Geneva, I didn't see your car outside when I went running this morning. (Opens the fridge and pours some orange juice)

Geneva: Oh! Some ass crashed into me, so I took it to the auto people so they can fix the paint job.

Kim: Did you get his name? Maybe you can get his insurance to cover it.

Geneva: No, believe me, he wasn't worth my time.

Landon: Have you ever wondered why Goofy wears clothes, yet Mickey's dog, Pluto, doesn't wear any clothes and yet they're both dogs...

Zach: Where the hell did that come from?

Landon: Come on, doesn't it ever bug you?

Geneva: You bug me.

Kim: I for one have always wondered why Donald Duck puts a towel around his waist when he gets out of the shower, yet he never wears any pants.

Landon: Nice one Kimmy!

Geneva: Oh! Josh! You need to teach me how to work the air conditioner in me and Kim's apartment.

Josh: Okay, lets go.

Geneva follows Josh out of the apartment.

Zach gets up and goes over to Abby

Zach: You looking all fine in them workout clothes.

Abby: (Smiles) You think so?

Zach: Hell yeah

Landon: Get a room you two!

Zach: Fine, we'll go back to my apartment and chill, you wanna?

Abby: Actually, I've got to get me a quick shower and then skedaddle to work.

Kim: Where did you get a job?

Abby: At that recording studio a couple of blocks over.

Kim: Wow! That sounds nice!

Abby: Not really, I'm just answering the phone, but at least I got my foot in the door somewhere.

Landon: Abs! If you see Brice Springsteen...

Abby: You'll be the first one I call.

Landon: Sweet!

Abby and Zach leave.

Kim: Landon, do you realize we haven't gotten a chance to talk since I've been back. Whats been happening with you?

Landon: Nothing much, just the norm.

Kim: How's training going?

Landon: Sucks! Just like training should.

Kim: Awww, but you should be having fun.

Landon: Trust me Kim, I'll have some fun tonight!

Kim: Landon, I wish you wouldn't drink so much. I really worry about you.

Landon: Kim, I'm fine!

Kim: Don't tell me your fine, Landon, you've been drinking a lot lately. It really worries, me, you don't want to jeopardize your future. You really have a shot at the NFL, at least that's what I think.

Landon: (Smiles) You really think so?

Kim: Of course I do. (Takes his hand and smiles) You know I believe in you.

Landon: You really do don't you.

Kim: Oh sweetie, yes.

Reed hears them talking and cracks the door of the apartment and sees them holding hands.

Landon: Kim, you know, I really need to tell you something.

Reed walks in abruptly

Reed: Kim! There you are darling, I've been looking for you. (He leans down and kisses her.)

Kim: Hi, me and Landon we just chatting.

Reed: (Doesn't even look at Landon) Hey, I thought we could go on the yacht today, maybe forget about this lame party tonight and have our own party on the lake.

Kim: (Looks at him oddly) Reed, I thought we agreed to take it slow, besides, I really want to go to this party tonight, I think it'll be fun.

Reed: Oh come now darling, it'll just be a bunch of delinquents getting hammered and dancing like idiots.

Landon: I don't know what kind of boring ass parties you go to, but thats pretty much what makes a party.

Kim: (Laughs) Plus, Landon and Josh are two of the honored guests, they are the only ones to recieve a full ride to Hotchkiss.

Reed: (Looks at Landon and smiles) Congratulations.

Landon: Thanks man, I really appriciate that.

Reed: (Turns back to Kim) Come on lets go off today.

Kim: No, me and Geneva are going shopping for party dresses and make up, then we're going to the liquer store to try out our fake ID's! (Giggles) My name is Jael Cossi and Geneva is Zelda Ferry!

Landon: Thats awesome! Me and Josh are Amerigo Enestas and Bruno Hardcrush!

Kim and Landon laugh and Reed rolls his eyes

Reed: What ridiculous names!

Kim: Oh it's fun!

Josh and Geneva walk in with Peyton following.

Peyton: Geneva, I still can't believe you didn't know how to work a thermastat.

Geneva: Well now I know, and thanks for telling her Josh!

Josh: Hey, I'm proud of you. For someone who's never used one before, you really got in there and took charge.

(Everyone laughs)

Geneva: Alright, alright! Everyone laugh at the dumb little rich girl!

Peyton: Aww, no one thinks you and Kim are dumb, just a little sheltered

Josh: Or... reality impared.

Kim: How did my name get into this conversation?

Peyton: Kim, to be fair, you did ask me where I could buy cupcake mix yesterday.

Kim: Yeah, and I'm still waiting for an answer, all you did was laugh and walk away.

Geneva: (Puts on her sunglasses and tugs at Kim's arm) Come on Jael, lets get some liquer illegally.

Kim: Coming Zelda! (Laughs and grabs her purse) See y'all later.

Reed: (Waits for Kim and Geneva to be out of sight and then turns to Landon) Landon, I would greatly appriciate it if in the future, you'd keep your hands off my fiancee.

Josh and Peyton look at each other in shock and then turn back to Reed and Landon

Landon: Dude, seriously... what?

Reed: I walked in on you two holding hands. Thats not going to happen again.

Peyton: I'm going to interupt this little pow wow here for a second, now Reed, Kim was telling us that you and her had a talk and that you are not engaged anymore.

Reed: So?

Peyton: So, wouldn't that mean that she's not your fiancee?

Reed: Peyton, thats not the point, the point is Landon she keep his hands off what is not his.

Landon: Wow, you are really paranoid. Me and Kim are just friends.

Reed: Maybe I don't want you to be her friend anymore.

Landon: Maybe we should let Kim decide that.

Reed: She doesn't have too, I've made the decision for her.

Josh: You know Reed, last time I checked, Kim was her own person.

Reed: Josh this doesn't concern you.

Josh: I'd say it does, Kim and Landon are two of my best friends.

Reed: (Ignores Josh and turns back to Landon) I just want you to keep your hands off her, do I make myself clear?

Landon: Okay, how about this, I'll do whatever the hell I want, do I make myself clear?

Reed: (Smirks and turns to leave) Just watch your back.

Reed leaves.

Sucker

It was a beautiful summer morning. Some residents of Sterling Court were out in the courtyard playing ball, others were just relaxing in the sun, others, like Ethan were marching to their best friend's apartment to let him in on something he had heard the night before. 

Ethan: (Walks in to the apartment) Reed! Are you here?

Reed: (Steps out of his bedroom sleepily) Yes, yes, why are you here so early!

Ethan: I thought you'd like to know a few things I overheard last night. 

Reed: (Sits down at the dining table) Go on...

Ethan: (Sits down smugly) It turns out Kim has another admirer.

Reed: (Looks at him suspiciously) Who?

Ethan: Landon

Reed: (Looks at Ethan in amusement) What?

Ethan: Landon, yes, it seems he's been carrying a torch for her for quite sometime. 

Reed: And you think I'd care because...

Ethan: I just think you should be a little worried, considering that you and Kim are not on the best of terms at the moment. 

Reed: We weren't on the best of terms, that is until last night.

Ethan: What happened? Did she finally give it up?

Reed: Unfortunately no, which is quite annoying because I like to test drive a car before I buy it, if you know what I mean(Begins making a mimosa.). 

Ethan: So what changed?

Reed: Simple manipulation, I had fake papers made that looked identical to my bank papers. I told her money meant nothing to me and I burned them.(Sips his mimosa smugly)

Ethan: Good show old boy.

Reed: Why thank you, thank you very much. So you see why I'm not worried about that sniffling little jock, Landon. He's nothing compared to me. 

Ethan: I wouldn't say that, he is extremely caring for Kim and he always seems to be there for her when something goes wrong, plus he always out-shined you in the athletic department. 

Reed: (Looks at Ethan) Maybe, but I have Kim and he doesn't. 

Ethan: I'm just trying to help you keep your guard up, thats all. 

Reed: Ethan, Kim is a lady of breeding. She has grown accustomed to the finer things in life, Landon can not give her these things, I can. Believe me, Kim is head over heels for me. 

Ethan: The only reason she's head over heels for you is because she think she knows you. She doesn't know about all your devious little habits. I suggest you play it clean for a while. 

Reed: Perhaps your right, I should definitely keep my bases covered, especially now that I'm in a very fragile place with Kim. 

Ethan: That means no sleeping around. If you want Kim to think that you love her and that you're saving yourself for her, I suggest you keep it zipped. 

Reed: Lets not get too hasty Ethan. 

Ethan: Reed, I mean it, and the drinking and drugs has to stop too. Kim will start watching you very closely, mainly because her friends are advising her too. 

Reed: Damn them, you're right, I do need to be more careful. 

Ethan: Don't worry, just keep playing your 'all American boy' act and you'll keep Kim and your millions. 

Reed: (Hands Ethan a mimosa and holds up his glass.) To our little sucker, Kim!

They laugh and clink their glasses together

Meanwhile, outside in the parking lot Geneva has returned from Krispy Kreme with a box of donuts and some coffee. She's driving along in the parking lot, when suddenly a car in a parking space backs right in to her. Geneva gets out of her car in fury. The other driver gets out of his car, his name is Chase DeLozier. 

Chase: What the hell do you think you're doing?

Geneva: What I was doing? What about you? You're the one who backed into me! Did you lose your rearview mirror?

Chase: I don't know, did you lose your sense of sight all together?

Geneva: Hey, I was the one with the right away!

Chase: Oh thats right, you're one of those rich girls who thinks that the world revolves around them! What were you doing when I was backing out? Counting your money and playing with your diamond tiara? 

Geneva: Where the hell do you get off? You don't even know me! How dare you judge me!

Chase: Well it's not too hard for me to come to my conclusion, considering your car. 

Geneva: (Looks back at her car and then at him) What about my car?

Chase: A 2010 Mercedes E-Class, not even released yet, not a car an ordinary person of our age drives, I bet you bought it with daddy's money.

Geneva: Not that it's any of your business but it was gift, my father knows the owner. 

Chase: Of course your daddy knows the owner. You're a little rich bitch who could care less about anyone else's car, and if your's gets dinged, so what! You'll just have your daddy fix it. 

Geneva: (Completely in rage) How dare you make assumptions about me and my life, when you know nothing about me! You don't even know my name, so lets keep it that way! You're a judgmental, pinheaded jerk, who probably thrives upon arguments like this because it distracts you from how little your dick is!

Chase: (Gives her a cocky grin) 

Geneva: (Turns to get back in her car and then turns around at him) Oh and by the looks of your brand new Armani blazer and your 2009 Porsche, I'm guessing that not only are you a very wealthy person and a complete asshole, but your also a hypocrite! 

Geneva gets into her car and speeds off as Chase watches her smiling.

Moving Day: Part 2

Josh, Peyton, Spencer, Zach and Abby are all gathered at Josh and Landon's apartment. Landon rushes into the apartment with two pizzas.

Landon: Dudes! You'll never guess who I saw outside!

Peyton: You're right, so why don't you just tell us.

Landon: (Sets the pizzas down.) Reed and Ethan! They're moving in!

Peyton: Really? I didn't think Reed would have the guys to show his face to us again after what he did to poor Kim!

Spencer: Peyton, really when you think about it, he didn't do something so bad.

Abby: Spence! Is you crazy? The man lied to Kim!

Spencer: Not really, he just withheld the truth for Kim's own good. Kim deserves to be happy and wealthy and thats all that Reed was trying to do.

Landon: Spencer, it's a lie no matter how you look at it. Reed only went with Kim so he could keep his precious trust fund.

Spencer: I suppose, I just try to look at all sides of a situation.

Abby: We know it baby, and we love ya for it too, but Reed needs to be out of Kim's life.

Ethan and Reed enter

Reed: Why don't we let Kim make that decision Abby.

Ethan: I take it by the tone of this conversation we're not welcome.

Josh: You know Ethan, I don't think right now would be best time for you and your buddy to be sniffing around here, most likely looking for Kim.

Reed: I just want to see her.

Landon: Yeah? Well I'd like to see your head as a football so I could kick it, but thats not going to happen either.

Peyton: (Whispers in Landon's ear) Work on better comebacks Landon...

Spencer: (Smiles and leads Ethan and Reed to the door) Perhaps this isn't the best time right now...

Reed: Spencer, will you at least call me when she comes in?

Spencer: I think Kim will call you if she wants you to know she's in.

Reed and Ethan leave through the hall door just as Geneva and Kim enter through the patio door

Geneva: Hello all!

Kim: Holla!

Everyone greets them warmly

Geneva: Well, Europe was positively gorgeous! And Kim turned a lot of guy's heads over there!

Kim: Oh shut up Geneva! You did too.

Geneva: Well, I know, but some of them were looking at you too!

Josh: I'm glad y'all had fun.

Peyton: Yeah, did you see any celebrities over there? You know vacationing?

Geneva: Well, me and Kim partied with George Clooney, he asked for Kim's number and she didn't give it to him! Can you believe her!

Abby: (Hits Kim on the shoulder) Girl! You crazy! For a white dude he is fine as hell!

Everyone laughs

Abby: Just because I'm ebony don't mean I can't appreciate me a nice, smooth piece of ivory! You know what I'm saaaayin!

Kim: I don't know, it just didn't feel right. I'm still kinda hung up on him...

Spencer: And thats understandable.

Landon: No it's not!

Spencer: Landon!

Landon: I'm sorry Kim, but this guy doesn't care about you! Its all about money! The only reason he proposed to you is for his precious trust fund!

Peyton: (Looks at Landon)Lets not get too hasty, he might really have feelings for Kim.

Kim: I just need to talk to him and clear the air.

Landon: Yeah Kim, go ahead and do that and let him lie to you again.

Josh: Landon lay off, it's her decision. (looks at Kim) Kim, we're your friends and we will stand by whatever decision you make.

Everyone nods their head in agreement

Kim: Thanks you guys, I think I'll feel a whole lot better after I talk to him.

Geneva: (Takes a bite of a slice of pizza) Oh my God! I forgot what crappy American pizza tasted like! It's amazing! All I've eaten lately is the rich Italian kind!

Josh: Thats why you two shouldn't leave us anymore, crappy American pizza and opinionated friends!

Kim: (Laughs)

Peyton: (Raises her beer) Amen to that!

Later, outside Josh and Landon's apartment, in the courtyard, Zach, Abby, Landon, Josh, Peyton and Geneva sit around a campfire Landon had built and talk

Zach: So, how do we all feel about starting college? I mean, after this summer, we will be college students! A new chapter in our lives is about to begin.

Geneva: (Looks at Zach) How many beers have you had there Zach?

Abby: (Gets up and pulls Zach out of his lawn chair.) Come on, lets go talk.

Zach smiles and walks away with Abby leading him. They walk through the courtyard.

Zach: Look Abby, I just want to say...

Abby: (Cuts him off) Zach, a lot has happened to me in the past month. You need to know that I still have feelings for you. I love you. If we're going to start this relationship up again, we need to make some rules.

Zach: Okay(Sighs) I'm ready, tell me.

Abby: For one, school needs to come first for both of us.

Zach: That sounds good to me.

Abby: The second rule, is that this is college, we don't need no high school drama happining between us. You have to trust me and I have to trust you.

Zach: (Kisses her) I think I can live with that.

Abby: (Smiles and kisses him back)

Meanwhile, up in Kim and Geneva's apartment, Kim sits on her couch, waiting nervously. There's a knock at the door, she gets up and answers it. Reed's at the door giving her a halfhearted smile.

Reed: Thanks for calling me. (He comes in) I've really been wanting to talk to you for a while.

Kim: Yeah, I think we should get a few things on the table.

Reed: Well, you didn't make it any easier running off to Europe with Geneva right after graduation.

Kim: I had to get away, Reed. I mean, I found out that my family and you, people whom I've trusted implicitly, have been lying to me for the past four years! How would you feel?

Reed: I never lied to you.

Kim: Oh my God! Yes you have! Withholding a truth is the same thing as a lie to me. Did you ever care about me Reed? Or did you just go with me to appease your father and lets not forget how wonderful it looked in the society pages!

Reed: I'll admit, at first I did just want to hold on to my trust fund, but then I got to know you and I fell in love with you Kim. Did our parents arrange for us to meet, yes, and I went along with it, I figured what you didn't know wouldn't hurt you.

Kim: Well it did, Reed. It hurt a lot. I was just a way for you and my father to make money! I assume my father made money off of this arrangement, did he not?

Reed: (Sighed and looked down)

Kim: Answer the question!

Reed: Fine, yes, your father's company, Cobalt, is just a branch of Fallon Industries. No one but me and our parents know it. Being president of Cobalt was part of the deal, my father couldn't have me marrying a person of limited means.

Kim: So my father's money has been your families money all this time? My father didn't really build his own business, it was all just given to him?

Reed: Our fathers were good friends.

Kim: I know that...

Reed: My father just wanted to help your father out.

Kim: Using me as a bargaining chip!

Reed: Kim, no, it's not like that, he just wanted to make sure you and I would be happy and taken care of, thats all. Plus, I turned down the money.

Kim: (Looks at him in shock) You did what?

Reed: (Pulls out the agreement and the information to his bank accounts) You see these?

Kim: Those are the documents you need to access your trust fund.

Reed: Yes they are. (He pulls out a lighter and sets them on fire)

Kim: What are you doing Reed!

Reed: (Runs to the bathroom and tosses the fiery papers into the toilet and flushes it) It's a new begining for us, Kim.

Kim: I can't believe you did that.

Reed: I love you Kim, money or no money. I want to stay with you.

Kim: (Tears come to her eyes) Oh Reed! (she hugs him and passionately kisses him) I love you too, and I don't want us to break up over money and lies.

Reed: Neither do I. Can you give us another shot?

Kim: (Nods her head) Yes, but I don't want to rush anything. I want us to take things slow. I know you and out parents were planning on us being married by the end of the summer, but I need time to get to know you again.

Reed: I understand.

Back at the campfire

Geneva and Landon are the only one's left at the campfire. Peyton and Josh have gone inside and Abby and Zach were still walking around the courtyard.

Geneva: (Takes a sip of Landon's beer) Oh God! How can you guys drink this stuff!

Landon: (Laughs) Come on! It's no different than wine! (Holds up his beer) This is the poor people's wine!

Geneva: Shut up you're not poor! your father's a doctor and your mom's the wife of a senator.

Landon: They make small pennies compared to your people.

Geneva: Oh Landon hush.

They're quiet for a minute

Geneva: You know Landon, we've been friends since we were in preschool. You know you can tell me anything, right?

Landon: (Looks at her) Yeah, I know... and right back at ya.

Geneva: (Smiles) So how long are you going to keep hiding how you really feel about Kim to me?

Landon: (Looks at her in shock) What? How did you...

Geneva: You can't hide anything from me! You know better, thats how I figured out you and Alice Hawthorne were doing it!

Landon: Okay, okay, you only guessed that because you knew that Alice Hawthorne slept with half the football team!

Geneva: Landon, give me some credit, I can read you like a book! Not even a book, a comic strip! Thats how good I know you! And now that I'm saying it, its kinda disturbing.

Landon: No it's not, the truth is you're right. How did you pick up on it?

Geneva: It actually took me a while. You always went out of your way to do things for her, even more so than Reed. And you'd always be there to help her out. Reed has never been that way towards her.

Landon: I don't know what I should do.

Geneva: (Takes his hands) You need to tell her. You've been holding your true feelings back since the seventh grade. You need to let her know, who knows what would happen.

Landon: It could ruin our friendship.

Geneva: Or it could begin something wonderful. And now that her and Reed are history, it's your chance.

Landon: Your right Geneva. (He hugs her) You know. how come we've never hooked up?

Geneva: (Laughs) Because you have the hots for my bestfriend(Laughs again). Just remember to take it slow with Kim and be yourself. She's been lied to a lot.

Landon: I will.

Geneva: (Gets up and wraps a blanket around her) Brrrr! It's getting chilly! Come on lets go in and watch on of those crappy, 80's horror films where people get killed when they're having sex!

Landon: Sounds good. (Throws a bucket of water on the campfire and follows Geneva into the building.)

Ethan emerges from behind a tree, smirking.

Ethan: So, that numbheaded jock, Landon has a crush on Kim does he? I must figure out how I can use this information to my advantage.

Ethan chuckles to himself and walks into the building.

Moving Day

Excitement was in the air, winds of a new beginning blew as new students of Hotchkiss University began to unload their cars and rented moving vans, trudging their belongings into their new home, Sterling Court. For the most part, Sterling Court was a lovely apartment building with a big, green courtyard for recreational activities and conveniently located right across the street from Hotchkiss University, which was why it was so popular for college kids.The building was built in the early 20's as a dormitory for Hotchkiss, but as the school grew, so did the number of people attending. Sterling Court soon became a residential apartment building, still very popular with students. The current residents of Sterling Court watched as the bright and happy new faces moved their furniture and cardboard boxes into the halls and rushed to find their apartments. One of these new faces was Landon Trager. As he moved across the courtyard toward his new home with a arm full of boxes, he watched a group of his new neighbors playing football. He smiled and kept walking.

Landon entered his new apartment as Josh was unpacking some old books.

Landon: Dude, do you really think we're going to need those?

Josh: Why wouldn't we?

Landon: (Put the boxes down) Because, we're in college now! It's gonna be party 24/7 baby! Whooo!

Josh: We still might need these when we actually get around to studying though, don't you think?

Landon: (Shrugs) Whatever dude, so what time are the girls supposed to come by? 

Josh: They should be here any minute...

Zach enters the apartment

Landon: Here's one of them!

Zach: Whatever boy, I can still woop yo ass at beer pong! As I proved last night.

Landon: Come on dude, you can't count that as I win! I was so wasted!

Zach: Yeah, from all the beers you had to drink! Haha!

Josh: Where's your apartment at?

Zach: Down the hall a little ways... have y'all heard from Abby?

Josh and Landon looked at each other

Josh: Uh, yeah man, she's coming later on, along with Spencer and Peyton, they got that huge apartment so they could all live together. 

Zach: That's cool, that's cool.

Landon: Dude, we know what you're thinking...

Zach: What? I just wanna see her, is that so bad?

Josh: Just remember, man, that she's had a rough couple of weeks, getting back together with you might be the farthest thing from her mind. 

Zach: I know that, it's just, that's the whole reason we broke up in the first place, so she could move to New York and go to Julliard. Now that she's back we might stand a chance.

Josh: Just don't act like you're too happy she's back.

Landon: Yeah dude, remember that her scholarship to that fancy school fell through, so she might not be too happy that she's back. 

Zach: I know, I know, but I can't help but be happy.

Peyton enters along with Spencer and Abby.

Peyton: Be happy about what?

Landon: Hey chicks! 

Josh walks over to Peyton and they kiss

Peyton: (Looking at Josh in the eyes) Wow, I'm liking this place already...

Josh: You better, I had to fight tooth and nail to get us in here. 

Landon: For God's sake! Why don't you two get a room!

Spencer: Landon! Shut up!

Landon: Oh come on sis, you were thinking the same thing!

Spencer: I most certainly was not! (She looks around at all the unpacked boxes) Have you two not unpacked yet?

Landon: Whats the big deal? You couldn't have all your stuff unpacked already!

Peyton: Landon! Are you kidding? This is your sister we're talking about, she's already got the apartment spic and span and unpacked!

Abby: The girl's a nut!

Spencer: I'll take that as a compliment Abby.

Abby: Hey, I don't mind, you got my room all straight and nice too! I ain't complainin!

Zach: Hi Abby.

Abby turned and looked at Zach

Abby: Zach? I didn't think you was here?

Zach: Yeah, I'm attending Hotchkiss.

Abby: You are? That's great...

Zach: Abby, I was hoping we could talk later.

Abby: I would like that, Zach. 

The two look at each other.

Peyton: Okay, we better go and let you boys unpack and clean!

Spencer: Yes, indeed. Oh and by the way, did you happen to hear when Geneva and Kim's plane is arriving? 

Landon: Well, considering they took Geneva's private jet, they should be here any time.

Abby: Good, we all need to get together tonight and chillax.

Landon: And drink!

Spencer: No Landon! You drank too much last night.

Landon: Aww come on sis, stop playing the Mrs. Cleaver act with me! We're not in high school anymore!

Spencer: I know, but that's how you conduct yourself most of the time.

Abby: Alright, alright, come on, Peyton lets get her out of here before this turns into one of their weird brother-sister fights.

Peyton: (Grabs Spencer by the arm and blows Josh a kiss) We'll be back tonight!

Josh: I'm counting on it!

Landon: Peace out!

(The girls leave)

Sterling Court

Okay peeps! I've decided to do an ongoing story called Sterling Court. I'm doing this as an outlet, because I love writing and I love creating characters and stuff like that. So this is Sterling Court, yes, it is inspired by a real place and no none of these characters are based on anyone real. So I hope you can kick back and enjoy these characters, I've been working on them since high school.

The Characters

All the following characters have moved into an old apartment building across the street from where they all go to college.

Josh McClain

Josh is a middle child, born to a middle class family. His parents brought him up to respect the law and to defend what he believes in. His father was a captain of a police force and his mother was a prosecutor, yet they always found time to be with their family, Josh and his older and younger brothers. Josh attended Hotchkiss Elementary School and went on to attend Hotchkiss Middle and High schools. He has been with his girlfriend, Peyton Bennett ever since they were in the 6th Grade. He now attends Hotchkiss University where he's studying to be a detective and he shares an apartment with his best friend at Sterling Court.

Peyton Bennett

Peyton was born into a family of activists. They constantly raised her to defend what was right and never back down from a cause. Peyton's father was a journalist who wrote about political and social issues while her mother was actively involved in the community and spent most of her time planning rallies and getting petitions signed for various causes. Peyton entered the 6th Grade at Hotchkiss Middle School and immediately hit it off with Josh McClain. The two have been dating ever since. Peyton is highly athletic and she enjoys sports of every kind. She got into Hotchkiss University on a soft ball scholarship and lives with three of her best friends at Sterling Court.

Geneva Godfrey

Geneva Scarlett Godfrey was born into a world of splendor and luxury. Her father was an aristocrat who died shortly after she was born. Geneva's mother remarried to a man with extreme power and wealth who views Geneva as his own daughter. Growing up, Geneva's home life was filled with tension due to her step siblings resenting her for being their daddy's favorite. She flourished in school where she was insanely popular and won prom queen and homecoming queen, she was also captain of the cheer leading squad. Geneva is known for her flawless taste and her exquisite eye for detail. Geneva is attending Hotchkiss University where she's studying interior design.

Landon Trager

Owen was born into a complex situation. His mother, Emerald was in love with a young medical student by the name of Shawn Trager. Unfortunately, Emerald's social climbing family had other plans for her. She was forced into a loveless marriage with an up and coming politician by the name of Peter Quinn. Soon after their marriage Emerald found herself pregnant with twins. She gave birth to a boy and a girl. After Landon was in a car accident at age 5, he needed blood. Neither Emerald or Peter had his blood type, but a doctor, Shawn Trager, had a perfect match. After Shawn found out he was a perfect match for Emerald's child he ran a DNA test and found out he was Landon's father. Peter was devastated, despite him wanting a divorce, he decided it would be better for his political career to stay with Emerald and raise their now only child, Spencer. Landon spent his childhood, mainly with Shawn due to his mother, half-sister and stepfather going around the state to campaign. Landon excelled in sports taking his basketball, baseball and football teams to win many championships while he was captian. Despite all his success, he carried a private torch for Kimberly Hargrove, but never acted on his feelings. He graduated from Hotchkiss High, and received a scholarship to Hotchkiss University. He's now roommates with his best friend Josh at Sterling Court.

Spencer Quinn

Spencer was born into a family of politics. She was raised to be a perfect lady and to suppress her feelings. In school she made perfect grades and was the typical nerd. She spent most of her childhood helping her father campaign for public office. Spencer is very prideful, and puts others ahead of her own needs. She now attends Hotchkiss University where she's studying law. She lives at Sterling Court with two of her best friends.

Kimberly Hargrove

Kimberly was born into a family of social climbers. Her parents lived beyond their means to keep up appearances. Kim grew up with everything she wanted or needed, not knowing that her family was unable to afford it. She attended Hotchkiss Elementary where she met Geneva Godfrey. The two became fast friends, and have been friends ever since. In high school Kim excelled as a social butterfly. She was student body president for all four years of her High School days and she was involved in every school project such as proms and homecomings. Kim was the co-captain of the cheer leading team and the ring leader for young conservatives. She met Reed Fallon, from the prestigious Fallon family, who charmed her. The two became very close and soon became a couple. After Kim graduated from high school, she found out that her parents wealth and stature was a facade and that Reed's family and her family had arranged for them to marry. Kim was hurt even more when she found out that Reed had known about it the whole time. Geneva took her extremely upset friend on a secret vacation where she could get away and think about things for the summer. When she returns, she will be attending Hotchkiss University where she'll be studying business. She will also move into Geneva's apartment at Sterling Court.

Reed Fallon

Born into the prestigious Fallon family, Reed's mother died while giving birth to him, leaving Reed to be raised mainly by nannies and his cold and distant stepmother. Reed's father showed little interest in him until he got old enough to learn the family business, so that one day he could take over the Fallon empire. Reed fell in-love with a woman whom his family did not approve of, he was pushed by his family to go after a woman of proper breeding. His families eyes fell upon Kim Hargrove. After his father threatened to withhold his trust fund, Reed decided to do his father's bidding and charm Kim, all the while concealing their families intentions. Money is the most important thing to Reed and he'll do whatever he can to get his hands on it. Reed is now attending Hotchkiss University and has moved into Sterling Court to be near Kim.

Ethan Windemere

Ethan was born in London and into extreme turmoil. His father Dunstan, was of royalty who had an affair with a prostitute named Daisy. After she found out she was pregnant with Dunstan's child, Daisy threatened to make it public if she didn't get a handsome reward for keeping quiet. Dunstan, in fear of having his title stripped from him agreed to pay her. Soon his wife, Rodmilla found out and hatched a devious plan. Rodmilla would pretend she was pregnant, and when Daisy had her baby, she would murder her and take the baby and pass it off as her own. Everything went according to plan. Ethan was born, his mother, Daisy was murdered and Dunstan and Rodmilla passed Ethan off as their own child. Ethan grew up in the lap of luxury, but his parents had emotional issues. Rodmilla grew distant from both Ethan and Dunstan and she began slowly unraveling. Rodmilla began having haunting dreams about Daisy. and Ethan's resemblance to his dead mother made her emotional state worse. After Rodmilla went insane, she confessed everything, though Dunstan tried to pass it off as the ramblings of a crazy woman, a detective who had been investigating Daisy's murder for the past 12 years found solid evidence. The Windemere family was destroyed, their royal titles were stripped, Rodmilla committed suicide, Dunstan was thrown in prison and they eventually went bankrupt. Ethan's older sister, Jocelyn, took what little valuables they had and fled to America where Jocelyn met and married a wealthy man who could take care of both her and her baby brother. Ethan attended Hotchkiss High where he was known as a player. He often caused trouble, but his grades were excellent. He became fast friends with Reed and graduated with honors. He now attends Hotchkiss University and lives at Sterling Court.

Abigail 'Abby' Ulrich

Abby grew up in a close nit and loving family. Her father was in the army, and often away, leaving her to be raised by her great grandmother, grandmother, two aunts and mother. They all taught her how to stand up for herself and not take any crap off anyone, especially men. Abby attended Hotchkiss all her life. In high school she met Zach Owens. Both were greatly interested in music and planned to make a career for themselves. Abby received a scholarship to Julliard before she graduated. She decided to break up with Zach to make it easier on herself and him when she moved. Zach was devastated. After moving to New York, Abby found out her scholarship fell through, she returned home and enrolled at Hotchkiss in their music program. She moved in with her two best friends, Spencer and Peyton at Sterling Court.

Zachery 'Zach' Owens

Zach's mother Jasmine tried to raise him the best she could. She was a single mother living in the ghetto with her son. She worked herself to the bone to give her son all she could. Unfortunately for both of them, Jasmine was a magnet for low lives. She got involved with the wrong men who beat both her and Zach. After Jasmine married one of her abusive boyfriends, a 13 year old Zach joined a gang to get away from his home life. He began selling drugs on the streets to get both him and his mother by while his step-father drank himself blind. At the age of 15, Zach overdosed on heroine his step-father gave him. Jasmine was mortified and rushed Zach to the hospital. Jasmine got a restraining order against her husband and filed for divorce. Jasmine got a job at Hotchkiss High as a janitor and moved herself and her son to a better neighborhood. Zach got to attend Hotchkiss where he met Abby, and he fell in love with her. After they graduated, Zach was devastated to learn that Abby was moving to New York to attend Julliard. Zach tried to keep the relationship going, but Abby thought it was best if they broke things off. Zach enrolled in Hotchkiss University in Audio. Now that Abby has decided to move back, Zach is hoping that they can rekindle their love. He lives on his own at Sterling Court.

Chase DeLozier and Cassandra DeLozier

Chase was born to a wealthy couple. Both his mother and father were successful business people who were very loving to him and his sister. On Chase's 18th birthday, his parents were killed in a horrible plane wreck while on there way home from a conference. With no other family to turn to, Chase took it upon himself to raise his little sister, Cassandra who was one year younger. Chase and Cassandra found it too sad to stay at their enormous estate where their parents raised them, so Chase moved Cassandra to Sterling Court where they now live.
